Message from the President
Hello members. We have a great deal of activity this month and throughout the rest of the year. Several of you have been working diligently on building the float these past couple weekends and it is coming along well. Our first event for the float will be the Trunk or Treat at Flabob Airport on the 12th of October. It will be used as a hayride during the event. I have secured a booth to sell products at the “Trunk or Treat” event at Flabob Airport 12 OCT. The booths are $100 for a 10×10. Bring your own tables/chairs/canopy and 2 bags of candy. I should have more details at the next meeting.
There will be more events for the float involving salutes to veterans in November and December. We are looking for veteran volunteers to ride the float for these events. I have also secured a golf cart to convert into a rolling demonstration of some of the things we can do. More info on that at the next meeting.
Ken Thomas and I were able to secure generous wood donations for toy making from Jeff Sladick, the owner of Royal Custom Designs. You’ll remember Jeff donated wood before. He’s provided offcuts of many species of hardwoods they use in making high-end furnishings for luxury hotels all over the country as well as several countries.
Speaking of toy making, please keep up the good work. We have an extraordinary demand for our toys this year as word of what you are doing is getting around. Thank you so very much for what you do.

Jurupa Mountain Discovery Center 60th Anniversary Celebration

They will have a toy assembly event; IW is making toys and looking for volunteers to assist with the distribution.

Toy Drive give-away
Another Way is a San Bernardino charity that assists handicapped children, affiliated with the Inland Regional Center. They are assisting us with completing grant opportunity forms. More details to follow.
