April 2024 Newsletter

Message from the President
In April, we participated in the SkillsUSA woodworking state competitions. Nine of our club members donated their time on the 5th and 6th of April in various capacities to make this event go off seamlessly. The competition was fierce, and the competitors showed off their skills competing in Introductory Woodworking and Cabinet Making. A big thank you to the volunteers. Your assistance was essential.

We also met with the Jurupa Valley Mayor at the annual Day of the Child event conducted by the Parent Involvement Office of the Jurupa Unified School District to discuss our club and our desire to establish ourselves as a non-profit organization. He has offered his help and connected us to a member of his staff that has experience setting up several Non-profits. We meet up shortly. Please send all your blessings that it goes well.

I urge you to continue making toys and participate in our meetings and volunteer activities as the opportunities arise. I wish you all the best.

Club treasurer Phyllis Minert presented the treasurer’s report. There were no outstanding debts or requests for payment.
