- Show why Century not good candidate
- Show why Bookman Old Style is a good candidate when BOLD
- Show “TEXT ON CURVE”
- Adjust spacing
- Show “CONVERT TO CURVES”
- Add “FILETS”
- Save File and then save as to create separate file for LETTERS
- Move letters down
- Resize project to 2 x 15”
- Save LETTER file
- Return to original file
- Group letters
- Add graphics
- Demo mirroring
- Reset center
- Properties – make 0.125 high
- DONE ready to make TOOL PATHS
Create TOOL PATHS for both files
- Set properties
- Tool clearance to 1”
- Reset datum to lower left
- 3D FINISHING Tool path for graphic
- Select tool and change properties
- Review menus choices
- Calculate
- Show 3D preview
- INLAY Tool Path
- POCKET set depth to 0.125”
- Select tool 0.125 End Mill
- 25 inches/min
- Pass depth 1/16”
- 30% pass over
- Calculate
- Show 3D preview
- Save above Tool Paths to USB drive
- Add tool description to file name
- Save ENTIRE project file
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 above with INLAY – INSERT on second file with LETTERS
- Add offset 0.015”
- Set depth 3/16”
- Same parameters as pockets above
- DONE – ready to cut
Set up wood to be cut
- Make sure properly secured – show broken bit and hold down clamps
- JOG create 0,0,0
- Demonstrate Z set up
- Run file for POCKET
- Run file for GRAPHIC
- Repeat steps 1 and 2
- Run file for LETTERS
