2D Bit Map Tracing

There are a few things to consider when importing a bit map in to VCarve.

  1. Photo Resolution
    1. Higher Res = Bigger Import but…
    2. Camera angle and background color if from photo

  1. Picture sizing
    1. Based on resolution
    2. X vs Y

  1. Getting good vectors
    1. Pencil, Ink Pen, Sharpie

    1. Need a very good contrast

  1. Trace Resolution
    1. Corner Fit

    1. Noise Filter
      1. For example, set at 4 will ignore 2 x 2 clusters of pixels

    1. Bitmap Fading
