This past month the club selected new officers and discussed changes for taking the club in new directions. I was selected to be the new president for this year. Most of you know me, and I believe we must continually put out our name out in the community in a positive light and encourage new membership. I will be constantly searching for ways to work with our community through our toy drive and other means of community involvement. I was very encouraged by the turnout at last month’s meeting and would like to see more of you show in February. Details about the meeting are contained in the newsletters. In the weeks to come, we are engaging with the community in a few ways: Skills USA competitive events, Day of the Child, and the CNC group conducting a Teacher Training Day for So Cal wood shop school teachers at Cerritos College. Any of our members can participate in any of the events, and are encouraged to do so. You can contact me at Mike@inlandwoodworkers.org. I look forward to a rewarding year and to meeting up with everyone at the next meeting.
V/R,
Mike Trejo
